Engine 78-1 to Chalfont for Dwelling
April 11, 2013
At 00:58 hours, E78-1 was dispatched to cover Station 34 while they operated on a house fire at 69 Butler Ave. Chief 19 (Truman) arrived onscene with heavy fire showing on side "C" of a 2.5 story dwelling. E78-1 (Capt. Campbell) was called into the scene to assist with extinguishing hot spots and performing overhaul. At 23:49 hours, tactical box 78-9 was dispatched for the reported dwelling fire at 115 Murfield. A/Batt 78 (Campbell) and DC29 (Fuchs) arrived onscene with fire showing side "C". Engine 78-1 (Hughes) arrived and went in service with a handline to the rear deck. E78 crew extinguished the fire with negative extension into the house. L29 (Bean) assisted with ventilation. L29 and E29 Assist on Horsham 3 Alarm Fire
On April 7, at 13:49 hours, Ladder 29 was dispatched ot assist Horsham (Montco Station 15) on a building fire at 290 Blair Mill Rd. Horsham units were onscene with heavy fire showing from a 2 story office building. Chief 29 (Bean), A/Batt 78 (Campbell) and Ladder 29 (Lt. Hochmuth) went into service with a master stream on side "C". Engine 29 (FF Martin) assisted with manpower on side "C". All units operated for approximately 3 hours onscene.
Shortly after returning from the Horham Job, tactical box 29-16 was dispatched for the dwelling at 101 Jarrow. Complaintant reported mulch burning up against the dwelling. L29 (A/Batt Campbell) arrived on scene to find a small brush fire with negative extension to the dwelling. Engine 29 (FF Martin) extinguished the fire.
After returning to quarters from the dwelling call, rescue box 29-2 was dispatched for a report of a 2 to 5 vehicle accident at the intersection of 611 and county line road. 75PD arrived onscene reported 2 vehicles involved, no entrapment and minor injuries. R29 (A/Batt Campbell) controlled hazards. E29 (FF Robbins) went available.
Tactical Box 74-62 Dwelling Fire
On 02-19-2013 at 1351 hours, tactical box 74-62 was dispatched to 209 Hampshire Drive in New Britain Borough for a reported dwelling fire. FM-248 (R. Teschner) arrived on scene with a 2.5 story split level with heavy smoke showing from the roof and second floor. C-34 added Squad-18 (Montco), R-29 and L-12 (Montco) on the assignment. E-34’s crew made an aggressive push with the first line. BC-78 (A/Batt. Campbell) arrived shortly after E-34 and assisted with interior operations. L-29 (FM-275) arrived and assisted with ventilation on division “C.” L-29 and BC-78 cleared at 1448 hours.Rescue Box 78-10
On 02-08-2013 at 2309 hours, rescue box 78-10 was dispatched for a two vehicle accident with one subject trapped. DC-29 (Fuchs) arrived on scene and confirmed one trapped in a sedan. R-29 (Lt. Hochmuth) responded within one minute with a crew of four. R-29 went in service removing the passenger doors and “B” post. The patient was extricated in 10 minutes. E-78-1 (Capt. On 02-08-2013 at 1634 hours, local box-29-02 was dispatched for a vehicle on fire at 57 Easton Road (Enterprise Rentals). Sta.29 had a crew in station and took in the assignment with E-78-1. E-78-1 (Capt. Woodring) and DC-29 (Fuchs) arrived on scene with an engine compartment well involved with no exposures. The fire was quickly extinguished.Box 66-35

As snow accumilated in Bucks County, Tactical Box 66-35 was toned out at 1757 hours for the dwelling fire on the corner of Valley Rd and Maple Av. Chief 66 (Webber) arrived on location with fire showing Side A. Ladder 29 (Capt. Campbell) was dispatched to take in the cover assignment at Station 66. Shortly after Engine 78-1 (Capt. Woodring) was disptached as part of a tanker task force. Engine 78-1 dumped 1,000 gallons into a port-a-pond and advanced their manpower up. Soon after, Warwick Command struck the Box bringing in Ladder 29. Crews procceded in and joined the manpower pool on Side A. Crews operated for a total of 30 mins before returning back to quaters.
Tactical Box 29-45

Before the snow started falling in the tri-state area, Tactical Box 29-45 was struck for the dwelling fire. Engine 78-1 (Capt. Campbell), stationed out of 29s, had a crew in station and was on the road within three minutes. Chief 29 checked up on radio and was advised of a passing motorist reporting flames on the side of the house. Engine 78-1 arrived on location with a 2.5 single family dwelling with smoke showing on the Delta side. Crews stretched the 200' pre-connect and extingished the fire. Interior firefighters opened up observation holes to check for extension which proved negative. Ladder 29 (F.M. Pfitzenmyer) arrived on location and put a fan in service on Side A. Squirt 93 assited and provided man power. While crews operated on the fire, R-19 first disptached as RIT redirected to take in Local Box 29-45 at 1124 Arabian Road for the Water Flow Alarm. DC-29 (Fuchs) and Rescue 19 arrived and found a broken water pipe that froze. All companies were available shortly before 1600 hours.
The "611 Express" Goes to Work

In the early evening hours at 2107, Rescue Box 29-50 was struck for the reported auto extrication in the area of St. Anne's Church on Rt. 611 south of Kelly Road. Deputy 29 (Fuchs) arrived and found a SUV 50 yards off the road way and on its roof with one entrapped. Chief 29 (Bean) arrived on location and took operations. Rescue 29 (Capt. Woodring) and Engine 78-1 (Lt. Hochmuth) went responding within three minutes. R-29 arrived and was initially told to go to work with stablization. E-78-1 arrived shortly after and controlled the hazards and assisted the Rescue Company. Crews utilized junkyard dogs and cribbing to stablize the vehicle. Rescue workers then removed the rear passenger door and "B" post. Crews finally utilized the large ram to make more room for the patient to be extricated. The patient was in care of Medic 129 within 19 minutes after dispatch and was transported to Abington Memorial Hospital. Crews stayed on scene briefly to proved PD with lighting before returning at 2145 hours.
Warrington Responds on Back-to-Back Tactical Boxes

Promptly at 1200 hours, Tactical Box 78-55 was dispatched for a reported chimney fire on 1600 block of Lower State Road. Police where on location with thick black smoke coming from the chimney. Engine 78 (Capt. Campbell), Engine 29 (Capt. Woodring) and Ladder 29 (Chief Bean) responded on the run. Crews arrived and found an active chimney fire. As crews were on scene, BCFR advised DC-29 (Fuchs) of Tactial Box 29-18 being dispatched for the 500 block of Easton Road for the dwelling fire. Engine 78-1 (FF. Bodo) went responding one minute after dispatch. Police arrived on location and reported heavy smoke showing from the basement and all occupants out. Engine 78-1 arrived with smoke showing on Side Delta. Crews quickly stretchd a line to the basment and extinguished the fire in the basment. Deputy 29 established Warrington Command and instructed Squirt 93 to lay-in from the hydrant. Engine 29 cleared the first call and arrived in and picked up 93s lay. Ladder 90 arrived on Side Alpha and went in service with a primary search which proved negative. Montgomery Engine 15-1 arrived and provided ventilation. The fire was placed under control at 1234 hours with minimal extentsion. The home suffered heat and smoke damage throughout the structure. The Warrington Township Fire Marshall's Office is handling the investigation. All companys returned back in service at 1430 hours.
