Dr. Mostafa Jafarian is a Technical Manager at Warringtonfire, specializing in structural fire protection and façade behaviour under fire.

He obtained a bachelor degree in civil engineering, an MSc in Structural Steel Design at Imperial college London in Structural design, and PhD in Structural Fire Engineering at the University of Manchester. His PhD project formed part of the RFCS (The Research Fund for Coal & Steel) funded European project COMPFIRE investigating robustness of steel and composite connections in fire.

After obtaining a PhD, he worked as Research Associate for about two years at the University of Manchester developing a method to specify intumescent coating for concrete filled tubular columns.

He joined Warringtonfire in 2016 and is now a Technical Manager, providing clients with advice about performance of various structural fire protection systems and façade systems under fire conditions, and methods of improvement. He is a member British Standards Institution (BSI) committee (Eurocodes structural fire design co-ordination panel), Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) comment (TG1-for reactive fire protection and TG2- for non-reactive fire protection). He is also working closely with BSI committees developing standards related to façade tests under fire condition.
