Darren is the Quality Manager for the High Wycombe Warringtonfire laboratory (and for our sister company, FIRA International, based in Stevenage). His primary responsibility is to ensure the quality of work performed at both sites is always to the highest standards and UKAS accreditations to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 are maintained.

Darren spent 20 years in the food testing sector before joining our sister company, FIRA International, in 2016. He then assumed quality responsibility for Warringtonfire’s High Wycombe laboratory in January 2020.
Quality is central to the testing undertaken by Warringtonfire, as customers require full confidence in testing protocols and the accuracy of results. Darren’s role is critical in maintaining and continuously improving quality systems that support testing.
The technical experience and expertise at Warringtonfire’s High Wycombe laboratory is significant. Many colleagues have worked in their roles for more than ten years, and they consistently display a level of technical expertise, which is highlighted in feedback from customers and external accreditation bodies.
Darren aims to continually maintain these high standards whilst identifying further improvements. In doing so, he strives to include as many colleagues as possible in various quality activities to increase exposure to quality systems and the confidence these provide for customers.
