Presenter:

Fawaz Hashim is a Senior Engineer based in Dubai. He has gained extensive global hands-on testing and reviewing experience including on standard and ad-hoc systems in the fire safety industry through his role as a Fire Testing Engineer . He specializes in propagation fire test rigs to NFPA 285, BS 8414 and ASTM E2307. Fawaz is an associate member of the Institution of Fire Engineers. He is also an active participant with ASTM’s E05 committees on fire and also participates at the European Group of Organisations for Fire Testing, Inspection and Certification (EGOLF).

Fawaz will be joined in the Q&A by Dr. Mostafa Jafarian in the Q&A. Mostafa is Principal Certification Engineer at Warringtonfire, specializing in structural fire protection and façade behavior under fire.  His specialism includes structural fire protection systems and façade systems under fire conditions, and methods of improvement. He is a member British Standards Institution (BSI) committee (Eurocodes structural fire design co-ordination panel), Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) comment (TG1-for reactive fire protection and TG2- for non-reactive fire protection). He is also working closely with BSI committees developing standards related to façade tests under fire condition.
