In Hong Kong, Leo has recently been joined by our first new factory auditor Magus Huang.

Magus worked as a factory auditor at Bureau Veritas China with 11 years of experiences in factory system auditing. She joins the Warringtonfire Hong Kong team at an exciting time. Bringing in her experience from manufacturing, factory auditing and code compliance, she will be a key part of our fast-growing certification support team in the region.  We will continue our recruitment to support identified service gaps as well as growth opportunities. An example is our deeper collaboration with our BM TRADA colleagues and extended support on Q-Mark, CE and UKCA audits in Asia.

As communicated separately earlier this month, in Singapore Mahmoud has recently been joined by Azel Joquino, our new senior technical engineer.

Azel joins with his significant testing and assessment experience from his previous positions at Thomas Bell-Wright in Dubai and positions at Techniq International and Assa Abloy (formerly Prometal), also in Dubai. While we still focus on initial Singapore assessment team integration as four new colleagues join from four countries, Mahmoud and the team will proactively look for external business development and internal collaboration. A couple of great examples are strong connection with Australia testing and FAS team and ME testing and technical team on workload and competence sharing, as well as new service introduction.

We will look at further recruitment and growing the local competence and capacity of assessment into 2022.  With dedicated leadership for HK certification support and singapore assessment surrounded by their great teams, this is clearly a milestone in our growth strategy. We have no doubt Leo, Mahmoud, Steve, Azel and Magus will be successful in their new roles.  In addition to the above appointments, to deliver this growth, we will be embarking upon an extensive recruitment programme in the region, including much needed marketing, business development, sales and support functions.
