Chris Riley is a Technical Officer at Warringtonfire with five years' experience in reaction to fire testing, specialising in roof testing and supporting clients throughout the testing process.

Experience

Chris specialises in reaction to fire testing, with expertise in roof testing. Having progressed from Technical Assistant to Testing Officer and then Technical Officer, Chris has developed extensive knowledge of fire performance testing and client support. His role includes producing technical reports, issuing order acknowledgements, liaising with clients, and delivering testing programmes that help bring products to market in line with the relevant requirements.

Career Highlights

A key achievement in Chris' career has been his involvement in reintroducing roof testing capabilities to the UK. After receiving specialist training at Warringtonfire’s Ghent facility, he played a key role in establishing and implementing roof testing at our Holmesfield Road facility in Warrington. This development has helped UK-based clients access testing services more efficiently, reducing the need to send products overseas for assessment.

Chris also contributes to industry development through his participation in technical committees and trade associations focused on external fire exposure testing for roofs.
