Warringtonfire joins RSSB affiliate network to support rail safety collaboration

29 Jul, 2026

Warringtonfire, part of Element Materials Technology, has joined the Rail Safety and Standards Board's (RSSB) affiliate network, reinforcing its commitment to supporting safety, quality, and technical excellence across the UK rail industry.

RSSB's affiliate network brings together organisations from across the railway sector to share knowledge and contribute to a collaborative network focused on improving safety, performance, and best practice.

As an affiliate member, Warringtonfire will have opportunities to build collaborative relationships that support both immediate and long-term organisational challenges, while underpinning its health, safety, and sustainability strategies.

The affiliation further strengthens Warringtonfire's involvement in the rail industry, building on more than 30 years of experience delivering fire testing and certification services across the UK transport sector.

Commenting on the affiliation, Dennis Tuyogon, Lead Analytical Chemist at Warringtonfire, said:

"This affiliation enables us to better understand industry needs, anticipate future technical developments, and continue delivering the testing and technical expertise that supports compliance, innovation and, ultimately, safer rail transport.

"It also complements the work we do as part of our technical governance activities, supporting manufacturers, operators and the wider rail supply chain through independent fire testing, technical guidance and standards development. Maintaining close engagement with RSSB helps us continue to provide technically robust and relevant solutions for the industry."

As the rail industry continues to evolve, collaboration between technical specialists, operators, manufacturers, and standards bodies remains essential to driving continuous improvement across infrastructure, operations, and safety.

Dennis added:

"Becoming an RSSB Affiliate demonstrates Warringtonfire's continued commitment to the UK rail industry. It gives us greater opportunities to engage with industry stakeholders, contribute to technical discussions, and stay aligned with emerging standards and best practice."
