Warringtonfire’s US lead wins D. Peter Lund Award
LONDON, UK – November 9, 2021 – Warringtonfire, part of Element group, is proud to announce one of its engineering consultants has received the prestigious D. Peter Lund Award for 2021.
Kevin LaMalva, P.E., F.ASCE, Principal Fire Consultant at Warringtonfire and head of its US operations, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to advancing fire safety engineering through his work to establish fire as a structural load for buildings.
The D. Peter Lund Award was established in 1997 by the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE). As one of the world’s leading fire safety engineering awards, the D. Peter Lund Award recognizes the contribution of professionals to the advancement of the role of fire safety engineer.
Kevin has over 14 years’ experience as a fire and structural consultant and has dual registration in both fire protection engineering and civil engineering. He joined Warringtonfire in 2020 and his application of engineering extends to expert witness services, structural and fire forensics, structural design, fire/life safety design/code consulting, and fire protection systems design. Kevin has consulted on major construction projects including the Wilshire Grand Tower, LaGuardia Airport Redevelopment, SoFi Stadium, Kennedy Space Vehicle Assembly Building, Facebook MPK22, Virgin Hyperloop One, Kuwait International Airport, Lusail Towers, and many others
