Michelle Tolan

With a career spanning more than three decades, Michelle is a Principal Product Assessor at Warringtonfire, supporting assessment, testing and certification activities.

Experience

Michelle joined Warringtonfire in 2015 and specialises in the assessment and certification of timber and steel door sets and their associated components, including glazing systems, intumescent seals, smoke seals and hardware. She supports clients with technical enquiries, testing requirements and compliance with the Certifire certification scheme.

Michelle brings extensive knowledge of architecture, construction and performance door sets. Her professional background has provided a strong foundation for developing specialist expertise in door set assessment and performance. During the first 22 years of her career, she worked extensively with timber and steel hinged and pivoted door sets, developing solutions to meet fire resistance, smoke control, acoustic, security, mechanical and environmental performance requirements.
