Masis Altun is a senior fire testing engineer who oversees fire resistance testing projects from initial concept design through to testing and delivering the final test reports. Masis is based at Warringtonfire’s test facility in Melbourne working closely with the lab technicians and liaising with clients to ensure test specimens are built to the client’s specifications and are in accordance with the requirements of the test standards. Masis took a keen interest in simulated bushfire testing in his early days and has become the bushfire specialist at Warringtonfire, overseeing all simulated bushfire testing and bushfire related enquiries.
Masis has more than 12 years of experience in commercial testing operations, he commenced his fire testing career in 2016. This includes providing technical services to clients in industries such as construction, pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals.
Masis has a strong focus on developing long-term relationships with clients and managing their experience at all stages of a project. He aims to continue the development of simulated bushfire testing and to further encourage the industry to develop innovative products suitable for bushfire prone areas. Masis also endeavours to conduct further research surrounding bushfires to understand and better predict the behaviour and spread of bushfires.
